University of Salford 2012 Fashion Show

There were twenty of the best graduating fashion design students of the University of Salford Manchester who showcased their original creations and their final collection in front of more than three hundred professionals, clothing industry and experts in the fashion world, along with fashionistas from different parts of the world, their families and friends, during the student catwalk show last May of 2012.

It was the first of its kind to be held in MediaCityUk space.

They have successfully put one of the most spectacular shows ever, created by student designers.

There were a lot of important and influential people in the industry who came to witness the show, apparently they know of Salford University’s caliber and they are amongst the fashion schools all throughout the world, who boasts of its talent and producing competitive and promisingly creative young designers.

Hence, making the competitive world of fashion even more competitive and setting the bars and some of the hottest trends there ever was.

There’s a lot to expect from these batch of talents and most definitely watch out and look forward to. It won’t be long after they graduate that we’d see them hosting a runway show of their own.

There were varied collection concepts used, ranging from fine tailoring and evening wears to some active sportswear and military styling. It is very interesting to see so many transitions and unique styles. How creatively each piece was thought of and the effort they must have invested in to come up with such a creation.

Five of them have emerged as winners – “best collection” and the winner is invited to showcase their collection on the prestigious Graduate Fashion Week at London’s Earl’s Court.
